I got a 2xCD-ROM drive from a 7100 to work in a 575, and am thinking of putting it in my sister's LC 580. Trouble is, I have no faceplate for this configuration. Did Apple make any? Did a third party manufacturer?
I have LC 520 faceplates galore - but the hole for the CD caddy is not big enough for the tray, and it does not have an eject-button, either. If Apple didn't make any, or I can't find any, how easy is it to cut a faceplate? Any advice? (I have a few no-CD faceplates, too, that I could cut - it might be easier than cutting the hole larger on an LC 520 faceplate....) Any help appreciated.... - t "I know . . . I know . . .
