I think I found it, is it this port pictured on the bottom of this page?

Dishwashing is considered a last resort, if nothing else works, try it because nothing worse can happen. Just make sure that the part is completely dry before attempting it. Before you try that I suggest getting an old toothbrush and going at it that way. Worked for me.

The port looks a little bigger than that, the one in your link looks sort of
com1 serial port size, this port on my SE looks about half the size of a PC
Parallel printer port. I might be able to get a photo of it, but I can't it
post to this list can I ?
Cheers

From the sounds of it, it may be a mini-aaui ethernet port. You'll
need to get an transceiver for it to connect to 10basedT

Does it look like this:

Happy new year all.
Not sure how it happened but I seem to have ended up with a second Mac
!
Odd I am sure that I told myself that one was enough, I do hope this
isn't
contagious ;-)

A colleague at work has kindly donated a second SE, a bit dirty, HDD
dead,
floppy reads (and boots) about 50% of the time. I have just taken it
apart
to set to the cleaning process and discovered a board that I didn't
expect
plugged into the PDS slot, it also runs to a strange 24(?) pin D style
port
on the back of the case, looks like a mini centronics port. The board
itself is marked: National Instruments ASSY180390-01 REV.D1 S/N
01671.
The board is about half the size of the motherboard. One jumper on the
board, just says DMA I think, any clues ?

Thanks for your indulgance.
Mike
