color classic/LC 550 question

Well, I'm expanding my compact Mac collection to include a Color 
Classic and I'm going to install an LC 550 logic board (supposedly the 
same as the board in the Color Classic II). Is that just a drop-in 
replacement, with no other alterations required?

I've seen that some modifications (software, hardware or both) are 
required to do the Mystic upgrade, but this looks like it should be a 
simple swap.

Any info is appreciated.
