I didn't see malice, just a posting that might possibly start a 'please be kind to people' or a 'don't just tell people to look at the FAQ' thread.
Hi Stuart
To remind me of a year ago or three years ago suggests you see malice,
I count pickle as a distant friend who enjoyed a good debate, that said I would never treat a fellow lister to the crap he would dole out on a bad day, that said he covered bases no one else would touch, answering many questions on several lists, inspiring the use or repair of a few off beat questions.
Now, the message I replied to was the 17th in 9 days. That suggests the FAQ's, hardly prefect, hardly updated, a good resource for the questions asked, this which helps us as the person asking can ask the question with some knowledge of of both what the problem is and can use the answer as given. I believe we can also link the stuff that used to be on LEM now.
There are a few folks who complain at the mention of the FAQ's, the worlds full of half charged units, you can never make everyone happy.
As for offensive. YMMV.
