Something I haven't exactly found in the FAQs is which jumpers need to be strapped for proper operations, or maybe I'm not reading the right ones. I have a few HP OEMed drives that are giving me fits. They work fine in an external drive case, but when I put them in the machine, LIDO and HD Setup both report SCSI termination errors.

I have a 2Gb and a 1Gb and I also had trouble making them work. In the end a got a SCSI cable that had a built in terminator block on the end. I cut it with scissors so it just had the last two connectors and the terminator, and the 2Gb lives happily in my Classic II :-) Sadly, the 1 Gb had faulty blocks so I just put it on the shelf.
