You'll be welcome there! > I'll go out on a limb here and > guess that Apple II drives were single sided double density. Your guess is right - but only for 5.25" drives. Almost all Apple II 3.5" drives are double sided, double density (800 Kb). There was a late adapter by Apple to use the 1.44 MB SuperDrive in the Apple //e and IIgs, but it is rare. > I know the > paper punch trick to make a DS/DD disk read as two disks in a SS/DD > drive It does work with Disk ][ drives - a nice way of doubling the capacity of 5.25" disks, since I haven't seen a single sided disk in my entire life ;-) . > What kind of disks work > with the drives that work with this card? Only double density disks (both single and double sided). High density (1.2 Mb) disks will not work with any Apple II 5.25" disk drive. You can usually find blank Apple II disks in auction at eBay, or ask people that is selling Apple II stuff. You can't be wrong, I think, because I haven't seen any physically damaged Apple II 5.25" disk - those damaged can be recovered by formatting them.
