gbmidd, I can confirm your observation. But I have to note that the slow windows come back very quickly. Also the unity-panel-service doesn't use that much memory in my case. I think you should also take a look at this Bug #770160. The difference is that people here are seeing slow windows not only after some time but rather all the time.
