And you think superko is part of the fundamental game???

In my terminology *repetition*, and having some rules to prevent
infinite games, is a fundamental aspect of the game. Superko is not
fundamental.

BTW Several authors here use the words repetition and superko as
synonyms; I believe this is misleading.

Superko refers to a special class of rules for dealing with repetition
(to avoid infinite games).

Superko rules share the property that they declare moves that create
repetition illegal. (They differ only in how they define a
repetition.)

Superko rules always do what they are supposed to do (prevent infinite
games), but sometimes they do a bit more...
