yes, but my reason for considering Java has nothing to do with how good a
language it is, nor how well it suits the task at hand. The main argument is
that in my day work I need to code java, and any practice I can get with it
is useful - and may even be an excuse to do some of the stuff at work time.

If I didn't have enough C-coding to do at work now, I would write C on my
spare time, but as things are now, I get that need satisfied all right.
