Hi,
@KwikOne
I tried to install the audio driver from the setup file from HP
website. Then restarted the system but its the same. I see a yellow
exclamation bar on SoundMax integrated digital audio and also on all
other devices like codecs,kernel synthesizer etc..I even download the
xp codec pack and installed it.But nothing works. I also tried system
restore as given on the HP website for sound issues. I feel that some
audio registry file might be missing because the soundmax properties
gives that the configuration information in the registry might be
damaged. Do you have link to fix the audio file in the registry? I
dont want to screw up my system by downloading some registry cleaners
which might crash my PC.I also tried to repair the WinXP OS with the
OS CD given by HP,but cant hear any sound. I just hear an error sound
on my PC thats all.

Thx
