Tom as a person who was trained with statistics, it is very poor
writing to use an descriptive word that is undefined.
I lump many in with my sons response to how much homework do you have
left? Not much!!! (By the way in normal speak his not much means over 50%)
Poor editorship on their part. If not a specific number a percentage
of a whole number is just as good.
Otherwise the writer looses credibility.
Remember descriptive words mean whatever you want them to
mean. Over 70%, or 50% or 40% would mean a whole lot more.

This magazine found that your method "just hook the camera to the
computer and grab the files off the camera drive" doesn't work with some
unspecified number of cameras they tested with Vista. The magazine used
the word "many," but our Vista fans don't know what that word means.
The magazine reported that Microsoft chose to make Vista not work with
cameras as they are and expects camera manufacturers to retrofit their
firmware to work with Vista. They report that some camera manufacturers
say they won't.
A different review posted to this list stated that one particular camera
did work with Vista when the pix were transferred using a card reader.
Our Vista fans take this to mean there are no problems.
Our Vista fans seem to think the phrase at the top of the story "foisted
on the photographic industry" is some kind of praise I guess.
