This magazine found that your method "just hook the camera to the
computer and grab the files off the camera drive" doesn't work with some
unspecified number of cameras they tested with Vista. The magazine used
the word "many," but our Vista fans don't know what that word means.

Are you or the article saying that Vista won't read files that are on the camera? If it will display them, I can simply move them, right? Are you saying that Vista won't recognize files from a camera plugged into a USB port?

I don't know enough about the way the cameras are 'supposed' to work. I only deal with files. I don't even have camera software installed on this machine. I find no need for it. I certainly don't know enough to get into a debate. I'm simply wondering if my camera won't work on a Vista machine.
