Cable speeds in some areas rival or beat FIOS speeds in some areas. Cox here is laying fiber all over, over 18mbit to the home is available now, 25 mbit early next year. I had it over a year ago and it was extremely reliable. I'm surprised Cox is investing here in the valley, they have zero competition, there is no FIOS and no DSL to speak of.
