I'm hopelessly behind in my email but wanted to comment on this one.
Switching (hopefully) to RCN internet and phone today from Comcast
and want to do before and after speed test comparison. Also want
to test speed as loading sites seems to have gotten much slower
lately, getting back to dial-up type speeds, it seems. Tried a few
free test sites - some no longer exist,
I am also on Comcast and have noted the same problem. And , it's on
every site I go to. I'd have thought it was a problem with my
machine but my husband is having the same problem on his. We're left
drumming our fingers , waiting for a page to load that used to come
in immediately. And email is slow as well....and at times I'm unable
to even send out some emails. If I go to my .mac acct I can send them
with no problem and I wonder about Comcast's ability to censor what I
send out. The rejected email is always of a political nature. I"m
sure it's just my paranoia, but........
I just tried sending out an email about Comcast's abuse of net
neutrality and after many tries to get it to go out, gave up. Picked
my mac account and it went right out.
Anyway, what is RCN? Let us know if you like it.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather
to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body
thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a
ride!" Have a wonderful day!
