duh. thanks for the tip. I've since downloaded eudora and that comes up as the default mail reader. but it still looks like mac mail. I've been using web-based (earthlink and yahoo), but it seems I need a mac mail account, and then try to open the mac mail in eudora. sorry for my stupidity. but why can't I open my earthlink mail in eudora ?
