You see that explains my bitch.
I have been using Word long enough I know exactly how to do a header
or a footer, format it, etc. (I started using Word when it was a DOS
based Word Processor.) MY dad worked for AT&T and they had contracts
with MS to supply their products to the company and my dad had a
whole library of MS products. I remember using my first mouse on MS Word.
Now when you move over to the ribbon interface I am at a loss on how
to do it and do not want to spend my time looking up a help file to do it.
What MS forgot, was we spent years learning how to use their Word
Processor and were quite happy with it. We did not ask them to
change the menu system on it.

I just started to use the new M$ Office for work. I think ribbon interface
is an improvement but it took me a month and a half to get there. The old
interface had things hidden in menus while the ribbon has things laying out
to be found.
Where M$ really falls down on the job is the help file. I really need the
search function in the help file to bring up how to do things when you
search for them. I was looking for how to do a header in Word and what the
help file returned for header didn't include a simple explanation of how to
set up a header. I had to read through a bunch of files and figure out
from the context how to do what I wanted to do. There should be a clear
explanation of common tasks.
