No problem, you just had me a bit confused :-)

Yes they do as has been discussed before.

That's the little bit of information that was missing.  You were talking about
ldap when SME (out of the box) doesn't support ldap auth.

This is where it gets dangerous.  If you change the plugin *after* you have
already installed, configured and synced emails, you will lose all your user
stores.  Not like when you use zarafa-admin to delete a user (that moves the
user's email to a shared folder).  If you change the plugin, poof...everything
is gone and you start from scratch.

We need to:

-Really think about this and carefully weigh all the options.
-Decide on ONE plugin and stick with it.
-Warn everyone about the ramifications involved should they chose to change the
plugin they are using.
