I have found the problem accessing the server-manager.
/usr/lib64/httpd/modules/pwauth had the wrong group ownership:
-r-sr-x--- 1 root apache 9792 Jun 2 2009 pwauth
After checking a v8 clean install, I changed it to:
-r-xr-x--- 1 root www 9792 Jun 2 2009 pwauth
When I executed the second restore the www group was missing and I had to
recreate it. I guess the missing www group caused some configuration
confusion.
Now I need to find out why the webmail is not working --just blank screen.
