That is not a typical sme server concept. The idea is to add functionality with
contribs.
Affa is not stable enough to be incorporated into sme server base code.

It is no more perfect than using the standard backup to USB & restore from USB,
how much simpler can a migration be than using a USB backup & restore ?

There is another tool that has been available for years, which conforms to sme
standards, can backup locally to USB or remotely over ssh using rsync, & is
remotely managed by command line

Affa uses hardlinks etc & that can cause issues with backup sets & render them
unusable in certain circumstances, so Affa is not really that perfect. Still to
contend with is all the bugs with v2 & the fact that development work for a sme
server compatible Affa 3 is ongoing, with further extensive testing required
before a stable Affa3 for sme server is available.
I commend the efforts of those working on smeAffa3, but it is still very much a
work in progress.
