That error does not sound like a smeserver-git problem.
It possibly some other contrib that is either bad (e.g. an el5 version through
the previous yum problems) or conflicting with the smeserver-git contrib.
What is the list of contribs that you have installed?
Is there some WebApp related contrib in there?
