OK Now that helped a little.
I downloaded a new ppd file from the link that was on the sourceforge site
(instead of using the one that cup-o-matic made).
I don't know the command for making it world readable, but I tried
chmod go+w
I also restarted cups, and that showed me the new ppd file in
mandrake Control Center
I selected it.
Tested it.
Still it doesn't work :-\

Do I need to install all that HP advanced printer utility stuff? On this
page:
http://hp.sourceforge.net/uhowto/eps-uhowto.php
I saw this there:
On my Linux-Mandrake system, printtool starts CUPS. What's wrong?
A: The draxdrake package symlinks /usr/bin/printtool to
/usr/sbin/printerdrake. The enhanced printtool is installed in
/usr/sbin/printtool. If your PATH has /usr/bin before usr/sbin, then
draxdrake will start instead of printtool.
Doers all of this mean I should not be using cups?
If so, then how do I change it?
Sorry for the long barrage of questions. Maybe I'm just missing something
obvious :-/
Thanks,
Jeff
