I have a Dell Inspiron 7500 with 8Mb video RAM and an AIT Rage Mobility
Pro card.
I am running the Mach driver with a straight "out of the box" Mandrake
7.0 install.
I have never seen this "mouse-dependent" behavior. I tried xgalaga just
now it worked fine.
I have seen another oddity--namely that the mouse itself (I mean the
physical mouse in the mouse port on my port replicator) is very slow if
it's plugged in at boot time, but I
fix that by popping the mouse out & back in.
Doubt that's connected to your issue, though.
Anyway the fact that I have *such* a similar setup and am not
experiencing this behavior suggests to me that, quite possibly, you
*are* the only one (at least the only one on this list) who is
experiencing this behavior.
