The crash is caused by libgnome-vfs2_0 and it's already fixed in CVS. See my workaround at (scroll to 'The following changes will make it work'): http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112176 Details: This version of gnome-vfs2 launches the application associated with the mime-type of a URL. So if you click on http://www.google.com/images/logo.gif it should launch your image viewer instead of your browser. A .pdf should launch your PDF viewer and a html document should launch your browser. When gnome-vfs2 doesn't know the application can handle URLs, it should return an error. But before that it frees the same memory twice. This causes the crashes/hangs. The workaround adds a http:// handler. After adding that, every http URL will open in your browser, even if it is an image/PDF/etc. -- Regards, Olav
