I can't remember the exact situation(s) in which it installs itself and then walls itself in with concrete. Cause some time back I created a "individual selection" installation auto_inst.pl file that sidesteps mdkkdm installation. Been using that before and since mdkkdm crashed into the scene with a bat, a crowbar, and a monkey wrench. I never do the "group selection" installs, except for selecting documentation group, so I don't have this problem. But anybody that does a group style installation instead of individual packages selection will definitely have a problem getting rid of mdkkdm.
