And then KDE logout only gives them the "logout" option, not
restart/shut down ... so is it the best tool for KDE users (or is
fashion more important than function ...).

Nice bug report ... if we have missed something (besides erratic
behaviour of reboot options which I wil add) in the analysis of mdkkdm:

please add your comment, or file bug reports on mdkkdm.

"mdkkdm sucks", "mdkkdm is buggy", "I detest mdkkdm" are not useful bug
reports ...
