"konqueror: cannot connect to X server."

How do you get Konq to work on tty[1-6], which is where I, or anyone else with a
broken X install, needs an OFM the most direly? When I'm on the phone or IRC
trying to help someone with broken X to make X work, the last thing I want in
the way is to have to explain how to navigate from a command prompt (slash, not
backslash - the key with the question mark on it) or use vi to edit or to find
and install mc rpm to find out which config file is missing or needs editing.

I doubt any first time user knows how to run Konq on tty[1-6]. I certainly
don't. I don't want to run it on X anyway. I've tried it that way, and can't
figure out how to make a nice bright full screen 100x37 like I use on tty[1-6].

mc rpm is almost small enough to fit a floppy. Space is a non-issue on systems
with X installed, and too valuable to omit on systems without X.

Every OS should have an OFM installed by default. On Linux, mc is the
preeminent OFM. Without an OFM, I find another OS that has one. It shouldn't be
necessary to go through individual package selection just for this one important
package.
