------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-17-09 08:39 ------- >From bug 4770: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: "# mv -f /etc/X11/XFConfig* /tmp # XFdrake --auto --expert" is precisely the problem mc is designed to overcome, having to memorize CLI commands and syntax. MC allows me to remember things generically. I dont' have to remember what XFDrake does or how to make it do what needs doing. "Anyway, if you choose "Console Tools" during installation, mc should be installed by default (AFAIK)." Console Tools is being automatically selected by the 9.2 installer when workstation is selected, mc is not preselected, and is not installed except via individual package selection. -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: RESOLVED creation_date: description: Every OS should have an OFM installed by default. On Linux, mc is the preeminent OFM. Without an OFM, I find another OS that has one. It shouldn't be necessary to go through individual package selection just for this one important package. http://www.softpanorama.org/OFM/ See also bug 5175
