Furthermore, had to do a hard reboot when the system blocked on "Checking for new hardware" and this completely hosed up my system, nothing works now. Note that acpi worked fine in 9.1. The computer is a Toshiba Satellite 5200-711. If I skip Harddrake during the boot sequence, the system hangs after i log in.
