Upgraded my bios, reinstalled and it still does not work :-( I do hope this will
get fixed since it is a major showstopper for me...

When I boot a system with acpi=on, the system hangs during the boot sequence on
"checking for new hardware". The computer is a Toshiba Satellite 5200-711.
If I skip Harddrake during the boot sequence, the system hangs after i log in.
