------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-17-09 15:49 -------
This bug is not so easy to reproduce as _every_ test done, do not fail when
configuring fixed IP after installation...
* /etc/sysconfig/network should be almost empty in dhcp conf !
And if your interface do not show up during boot, check that it's configured to
be started at boot.
If you fail the same way with another network card, it's an user fault, no bug.
Otherwise re-open it and give me detailed informations with RC2/cooker please.

description:
During install I didn't configure my network. (didn't scroll the resume box).
the default is dhcp(/zeroconf?).
I ran drakconnect (the first time in drakconf, the second time alone), to
configure it. I entered all my parameters: fixed IP, etc, etc.... The ending
box said all is okay, but not.
the driver for the card is loaded. but no ip is assigned to interface.
Seems that the files /etc/sysconfig/network and
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 aren't written with the new values.
