------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-26-09 17:34 ------- ok let's restart a bit... * First you told me that config files wasn't written with good values. * Then you said that you couldn't get an IP * Now you talk about ifplugd This sounds weird. If a simple configuration is set up, and you do not get an ip, then try to boot with 'noapic' this may be kernel related after all. -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: NEEDINFO creation_date: description: During install I didn't configure my network. (didn't scroll the resume box). the default is dhcp(/zeroconf?). I ran drakconnect (the first time in drakconf, the second time alone), to configure it. I entered all my parameters: fixed IP, etc, etc.... The ending box said all is okay, but not. the driver for the card is loaded. but no ip is assigned to interface. Seems that the files /etc/sysconfig/network and /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 aren't written with the new values.
