System: Dell Precision Workstation 610 MT, dual Pentium II-450MHz with on-board Crystal sound card. MDK 9.1-B3 does not detect any sound card at all here. Trying with other Linux distros: RedHat 8.0: Kudzu finds "new hardware" - CS4236B on first boot after installation. I didn't get it to work with KDE, though. SuSE 8.1 Live-Eval (running from demo CD only): finds "new hardware" - Crystal Multimedia audio controller after logging in on KDE. No sound server connected to it, though. Apparently, this sound card has worked on Mandrake distros before, see: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Operating_Systems/Linux/Q_11422758.html Crystal Semiconductor is owned by Cirrus Logic.
