I couldn't agree more. It would be a lighter kernel to boot since you could disable alot of options that are just not used on a laptop (such as raid, ham radio, most pci/isa network cards, etc) It would also lighten the load on the standard kernel since you could remove laptop related issues such as pcmcia, etc. I think it is an obvious choice and Mandrake could brag about being the only Distro that caters to laptops! ===== SI Reasoning [EMAIL PROTECTED] A requirement of creativity is that it contributes to change.
