floppy-disk, stiffy-disk, 3.5" magnetic storage device that gives much
worse reliability than their 5.25" predecessors (IMHO).

In South Africa, the term "floppy" refers to the 5.25" variety, and
stiffy to the 3.5" variety, since the floppy ones are less rigid than
the stiffer ones.

Apparently, the afrikaans term for these is "slap skyf", as opposed to a
"harde skyf", but people hardly ever use those terms.
