That might explain some things.  I haven't yet had the opportunity to 
install linux on a laptop.  The only laptop I have is a winbook XP5 
486dx with 4mb of ram.  It barely runs windows 95 and has no cdrom.  Oh 
well I used it while I was in the electronics program at DeVry in Kansas 
City and I used it to program my Motorola HC11 microcontroller.  (I 
still have that too--maybe it will make a nice collector piece)
