I did the procedure, how did you manage the inclusion at boot stage ? 
I can insmod them after the booting process and it works quite well (as far 
as my tests ran), but i think i need to make my own initrd (since i don't 
know the command -if someone can help-). I remember a Mdk-specifi tool to do 
this for me, but i don't remeber its name.

I saw some patches for HPT372 from Alan Cox, and i was wondering whether they 
were included in the last kernel.
