Shortbread

1 pound butter
1 cup sugar
4 cups flour

Cream butter and sugar; add flour, one cup at a time, beating after each
addition.  After adding the last of the flour, mix with hands to desired
softness and shape into ball.  Spread into greased and floured large
broiling pan.  Bake at 350 degrees 20 to 25 minutes or until golden.
