The convention is to abbreviate tablespoon as tbsp. and teaspoon as
tsp.  However, as mentioned already, there are a variety of ways to
abbreviate it.  Like Lora, I write out the words so there is no
confusion.  Also, when writing one and two-thirds cup, or two and
one-half cups, etc., there should be a hyphen between the whole number
and the fraction;--i.e., two and one-half would be 2-1/2 cups.

In the recipe included here, the author wrote an uppercase T for the
sour cream and for the vanilla.  If the uppercase T represents a
tablespoon, that's kind of a lot of vanilla.  I didn't read the
directions; perhaps it's divided.  (Why didn't I read the directions?
Because I abhor cream cheese!  <Smile.>)
