Barbecues galore carries them, and, yes, the burgers might shift a bit, but they will not flip to the point of causing you to grill the same side again. You can slide the top into different places for different thicknesses of meat.

Hi Charles.
That is a great idea! How did you come up with that? When you flip the
basket, do the burgers stay in the same spot? I mean, is the basket kind of flat where the burgers don't have much room to move around? I've never seen
one of these, but now I must go find one!

Fact is, they're called fish baskets. I don't use them when smoking meat
because the handle sticks out and would let the smoke out, defeating the
purpose, but they're great for grilling burgers, steaks, chops, fish, and
even smaller items as long as they're not so small that they would fall
between the metal bars, which usually wouldn't happen. The fish basket I
have is about 12 inches by 14 inches.

what I do when grilling anything, is put it in a wire basket that I
bought at wal-mart that I think is designed for grilling fish. Then
all I have to do is flip the basket instead of finding and flipping
each piece of meat.

It depends on how hot the barbecue is and how done you like the food, how
thick the steaks and burgers are, what you are barbecuing or grilling
them
on. There are many factors.
