Yes, it's correct. If you add the pasta prier to 30 minutes from finish, it will become mush, believe me, I am speaking from experience. There is such a difference between high and low because many people like to turn on there pot, go to work, and when they come home, supper's ready, where as if you put it on high, you would have to cut the time in half and make sure it doesn't overcook.
