Just cut around the core with a knife. I never take out the seeds! I know that some people do, but I think tomatoes are delicious with and without their seeds! I have read that you can take out the seeds by cutting the tomatoe in half, holding each half over a bowl and squeezing gently. Truly though, why bother?
