If using the tomatoes for canning, for soup and sauces, considering freezing
them. Cut off a round the stem. Place in a freezer bag and freeze them. Wash
them first. When ready to use, rinse under hot water and pop off the skins.
Put into your soups or sauce.

Just cut around the core with a knife. I never take out the seeds! I
know that some people do, but I think tomatoes are delicious with and
without their seeds! I have read that you can take out the seeds by
cutting the tomatoe in half, holding each half over a bowl and
squeezing gently. Truly though, why bother?
