Your questions aren't dumb, and they made me realize that I have never encountered anything inedible in a fresh tomato. Other fruits have inedible seeds and cores, but a tomato? Not sure.

Subject: [CnD] help with fresh tomatoes

Hi everyone,
I've debated asking these questions on the list because I should have figured it out before now. So, at the risk of looking dumb, tell me how you core and take the seeds out of a fresh tomato. I know putting them in boiling water makes them easier to remove the skin. If I just want to slice the tomato do I need to remove the seeds? Sorry to be this much trouble.
Thanks in advance,
Nancy Martin
