Blind people rely heavily on the sense of touch. In my opinion, this is a major factor in what is and is not appropriate that should, but is not, considered by everyone, blind or sighted. We are individuals, every one of us. You do things your way, and I do those things my way. You look, I feel. There are some tasks that we, as blind people, perform in a way that would not seem appropriate to people who can see what they are doing. Some methods go to the extreme. I know people who use utensils for everything from fried chicken to French fries, including pizza and barbecued ribs. In all of these cases, their main concern is neatness or to be prim and proper. I pleasure in eating these items with my fingers. It is far more convenient, for one thing, and the heck with being neat. Enjoy your food. You can always clean up after you're finished. That's what soap and water are for.
