Wendy, I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but this is really good.

Pumpkin Pie Cake

1 large can pumpkin

1 large can evaporated milk

4 eggs

1 C. sugar

1/2 t. salt

2 t. pumpkin pie spice

1 yellow cake mix

1 1/2 C. chopped nuts

1 1/2 cubes of butter

Beat eggs, add milk, sugar, salt and spices and pumpkin. Pour into a buttered
13
x 9 inch pan. Sprinkle dry cake mix over top. Then sprinkle the nuts over
the cake mix.

Add the butter in paper thin slices all over the top of the cake. Bake at
350°F., 45 - 50 minutes or until done.

NOTE: If you like things a bit spicier, as I do, you might want to use a spice
cake mix instead of yellow. Also, I find it easier to melt the butter and just
drizzle it over the cake instead of slicing it.
Also, if you can’t find the large size can of pumpkin, you could use two
regular
size cans.
