Isn't that the truth!  Can't understand why some guys need 337's for
radios
and some guys don't.  I just updated the entire avionics package in the
Bonanza and the IA first wanted to do 337's then not, then yes and I don't
know what he wants now!  I say, to be safe, have your guy do a 337.  What
they'll do is reference the STC from the manufacturer and make sure
everything won't catch on fire when you press the mic button.  There's
nothing to putting a new style radio in.  Calculate the draw, put in a new
AN/MS circuit breaker with some nice wiring and let it fly!  Good luck,
