My coupe has a generator and I have no noise in my radio. I don't know of any RF filter on my plane, but there may be one somewhere. An RF noise filter and/or perhaps insuring good grounding in the electrical circuits should solve the problem. I don't believe for a minute that you have to have noise. Generator brushes could also be a source.
