Hello all: The mixture control on my 85 hp coupe has no obvious effect. The previous owner told me that unless you turned off the ignition the engine wouldn't die and it had been that way for years.... (hmmmmm) . After about 35 hrs of run time since the last annual it started to run a little rough. I pulled the plugs and all were quite carboned up indicating a too rich run. Can anyone tell me how their mixture control works, is mine normal or worn out, and if the latter, who rebuilds Stromberg carbs or is there a newer substitute. Costs???? Advice appreciated.
