Steve:

My Alon is also a little rough in this range with either a 71-49 or a
71-52.  The Alon manuals don't say anything about restricting operation in
this range.  My mechanic says that the engine mounts on the 'coupes and
Alons are very primative compared to the ones on later aircraft and don't
damp out vibration very well.
