I have actually the opposite problem regarding oil temps. In winter my
M-10/C-90 is lucky to get up to 140 degrees, summer, 70 at 3000 feet, 180
degrees. I checked the temp gauge and it was accurate. We generally
concluded it was due to the large amount of airflow through the
engine/baffling. The low temp is a problem as moisture is never
effectively
driven out of the oil. So far I haven't done anything about it, but I am
considering a "winter baffle mod".
